Quality Production Services, Inc. (“QPS”) is a privately-held California corporation, founded in 1995, with corporate offices in Torrance, California. As a union subcontractor, QPS provides metal stud framing, drywall installation and finishing, and related tenant improvement services directly to general contractors, developers and building owners, and indirectly to architects and designers for public and private commercial construction projects.
The Company, as its name implies, is foremost a customer and service-oriented enterprise emphasizing “quality.” During the last twenty-one years QPS has provided clients with an above industry-standard product while maintaining a hands-on, easily accessible customer focus, growing from a small, family owned operation servicing a limited number of general contractor clients to a sophisticated multi-faceted enterprise serving general contractors throughout Southern California with a Union payroll often surpassing three hundred carpenters, tapers, and plasterers. QPS and/or its affiliates are WBE and MBE certified and maintains an A+ insurance rating.

QPS field employees are members of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (“Carpenters’ Union”). The Carpenters’ Union represents over 44,000 union carpenters in California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado. The Company participates in a collective bargaining agreement with the Carpenter’s Union to maintain its field workforce which may consist of 300+ members.
The Carpenters’ Union is the largest council in the Brotherhood and was formed over the years through the consolidation of smaller district or state councils. The large regional council structure provides greater flexibility to members and employers, optimizes the use of resources, and helps to stabilize the market.
