This market sector comprises the full array of QPS interior and exterior services. In addition to its core interior services, QPS offers exterior metal stud framing systems, exterior sheathing installation and finishing, fireproofing, scaffold and plastering. These services are provided also via subcontract to general contractors for principally ground-up construction services within the same market segments as QPS’ commercial tenant improvement services. QPS’ commercial core and shell projects are fewer, in terms of number, but larger in terms of contract value. Larger value projects require more skilled supervision and management, which QPS provides through its field trained complement of project managers and superintendents.
Ever sensitive to the strict time constraints associated with larger-scale projects, QPS employs customized software and other technologies for scheduling, man-loading and project management to assure projects are well-managed and completed within budget and on-time.
QPS brings its considerable interior corporate office tenant improvement capabilities to ground-up, standalone, mid and high-rise construction projects that require exterior cold-form metal stud framing and a variety of exterior sheathing, wall systems and /or lath and plaster exterior finishes. Although historically not a principal focus, the Company continues to actively pursue this project type to expand its experience and knowledge base. Whether individually or through joint venture, QPS strongly believes it can offer general contractors an economic, one-stop solution as proven by its work on the Evangelical Christian Credit Union (ECCU).
The Company has an outstanding record of producing very high-quality retail tenant improvements to an array of retail establishments including stand-alone, mall or airport based retail, restaurant and specialty stores. Similar to our other commercial office core and shell services, QPS is proactively marketing its services in this market segment individually and through joint venture, drawing upon its existing tenant improvement expertise with this product type.
QPS is proud of its experience in assisting in the core and shell construction of one of Los Angeles’ most visible medical facilities, the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital. Performed as a joint venture with the Nevell Group, the project serves as a testament to the Company’s abilities in this area as well as our value as an Women-Owned Business Enterprise.
